I know there are hundreds of children’s books out there to read. And we’ve purchased and been given A LOT over the years.

In fact, for my oldest daughter’s first birthday we asked for a book in lieu of gifts. As a result, we have quite the collection of amazing children’s stories.

The books I have listed below are the ones my girls loved reading over and over.

The images are beautiful, the stories are easy to follow and some you can flip over pictures, turn wheels or pull handles to make a motion (because what kid doesn’t love that?).

This is a list of my favourite books that I read to both my daughters as newborns and up to 1 years old.
